Training - 04/21/08 - 04/27/08

Weekly Training for 04/21/08 - 04/27/08 - Total: 83 Miles

This week I had 1 pretty good workout and a decent race (tempo effort). I also got in the water for the first time this year (w/ the yak). Chico and I took the kayaks over to Canobie Lake for a couple hours but the water was still too cold. Not even a bite this time around...but that was to be expected. It was just nice to be out on the water again. Another couple of weeks and they'll be biting for sure.

Monday - 76:45 (11.25 miles) - medium - Salem, Methuen, Pelham (roads) - solo
Tuesday - 73:24 (11.25 miles) - medium - Salem, Methuen, Pelham (roads) - solo
Wednesday - 1:55:00 (16 miles) - 30 min w/up to Phillips Academy woods then 4x (3min on + 30 sec off + 30 sec hard + 3min easy + 2min on + 30 sec off + 30 sec hard + 2min easy + 1min on + 30 sec off + 30 sec hard) with 3min easy in between sets + 20min c/down - w/ Matt Pimentel, Jon Healey, and Garry Cuneo (83 degrees) - total 16.
Thursday - 58:00 (8 miles) - easy shakeout - Salem, Methuen, Pelham (roads) - solo (69 degrees)
Friday - 32min w/up over course and around NHTI campus + 3.1m race - NHTI / Delta Dental 5k (1st - 15:42 - Course Record) + 25min c/dwn w/ CMS guys. Total - 10
Saturday - 1:39:57 (15.25 miles) - medium - Salem, Methuen, Pelham (roads) - solo.
Sunday - 75:15 (11.25 miles) - medium - Salem, Methuen, Pelham (roads) - solo.

Approx. mileage for the week....~ 83

Signs that Spring is here and Summer is coming...

I'm really glad you posted those marathon splits- everyone did really good...I put my blog back, lol...AND get this: Friday, out of no where Jay decided to do 4x 1 mile repeats- and they end up being sub 4:30! WHO KNEW? lol, he's like, "maybe I'll start running again..." hahaha :-) Looks like yours is going great too!
