I see that you race a lot, and that you plan to continue that trend ... pulling a Bernie (a double, it is what Bernie Boettcher does) a lot of weekends).
Do you think this prevents a "peak?"
If it is hopping in Emmett Brown's time machine and going back to 1998, then I think it isn't affecting my peak (hopefully) ;)...
We'll see..I think the snowshoe stuff will hopefully get me in better shape going into the spring... but seeing I don't know a heck of a lot about training or running in general, you could be right:). A couple of these will come off anyways...I have 40 races in the books for this year w/ a few to go...next year may be an average of one a week (if I stay healthy)..we'll see.
Yo Jim - this is a pretty cool plan you have on tap. Should be fun. I was particularly interested in the snowshoe races. Seems like a great idea. A trip out to Oregon would be pretty sweet too. I would like to pick your brain at some point as I'm thinking I'd like to get serious about running again in the Spring, and I'm considering a strict focus on trail/mountain running.
Hey Jim...definitely mountain stuff...give that a thought... The series is great... + Mt. Washington. Give the Granite State Snowshoe series a look and the WMAC Dion series. Some of the races overlap...and a couple conflict..but there are plenty to choose from.
